The dose of Hevexidal Drops depends on the condition to be treated and the age of the child:
To prevent rickets in case of premature birth: 400-800 IU, equivalent to 4-8 drops per day, starting from the age of 2-5 weeks, until the age of one year.
For the prevention of rickets in normal-gestational age neonates: 400 IU, equivalent to 4 drops per day, starting at 2-5 weeks of age, until 1 year of age.
For the treatment of rickets: The dose depends on blood calcium levels and bone radiography.
